At the same time the cases come in platinum and gold and there are only two units made each year keeping them incredibly exclusive.

Vacheron Constantin Tour de l'Ile: $1.5 million

This is not only one of the world's most expensive watches, but is also considered to be one of the most complex watches ever made. This watch is made from 834 parts and takes over 10,000 hours to construct – over a year. Another feature that makes it unique is the fact that it has a face on the back and on the front, and between these there are a huge variety of dials and readouts.

Patek Phillippe's Platinum World Time: $4 million

Another entry in the world's most expensive watches for Patek Philippe and in 2002 this was actually the most expensive watch in world (it went for this price at an auction). This watch is unique in that it shows multiple time zones using just two hands and also features an attractive map. Great for billionaire globehopper

Patek Phillipe's Supercomplication: $11 million

Another of the world's most expensive watches made by Patek Phillipe. This time the watch is in fact a pocket watch and took four years to process. Again this is due to its incredibly complex design, and the glass on the back allows you to see the workings through the glass.

201-Carat Chopard: $25 million

Yes this really is a watch that sold for $25 million dollars, the reason being that it is completely covered in diamonds including 15 carat pink diamond, 11 carat white diamond, 12 carat blue and 163 carat white and yellow surrounding the watch on the outside (which the astute among you will notice ads up to 201...). This currently the most expensive of all the world's most expensive watches and certainly the most bling.
